Jesmonite offers a smooth concrete like finish

Round shaped soap dishes with drainage in a variety of colours including marbled design, solid colours or coloured sand embedded in them. These handmade round shaped soap dishes are perfect for storing your bars of soap, making an attractive addition to any bathroom.

They are made from Jesmonite, which is a non-toxic and biodegradable concrete-like substance, which is incredibly durable and has a smooth quality matt feel and is the perfect gift when you are looking for something special and unique.  My soap dishes have been coated with a sealant, both inside and out to help make it water resistant.

Jesmonite is an eco-friendly and sustainable composite material.  It is heat resistant, non-toxic and free of solvents and VOC’s.  As all my products are hand poured, no two pieces will be the same, creating a unique product.

All my products are handmade, and due to the nature of Jesmonite, there may be slight visible imperfections such as bubbles or bumps.  Although every care is taken in the making of my products, these are unavoidable and does not make the item faulty.

CARE GUIDE:

To clean Jesmonite wipe with a damp cloth. The Jesmonite is not dishwasher or microwave safe and should not be soaked.

Do not expose to extreme heat, avoid contact with harsh chemicals and constant direct sunlight.

What is Jesmonite?

Jesmonite is made from a combination of gypsum (a mineral created from sedimentary rock) and water-based acrylic resin. 

It was originally created in the UK during an experiment with concrete technology. After many successful tests, it became primarily used in the construction industry, mostly for building high-quality surface materials.

However, in recent years, the substance has become increasingly popular among artists, sustainable businesses and the home crafting community.

Delivery Information:

This concrete soap dish is made within 5-7 days to make and part cure (full heat resistance is achieved after about 14-21 days), this may be longer during seasonal periods, we will notify you accordingly.
