A whimsical fabric landscape is certain to raise a smile with its unique charm and pretty whimsical feel.
I will make your beautiful fabric wall hanging with soft layered fabric lovingly applied to create a pleasing landscape scene. The example with the mountains shows flowers in the foreground growing between the rocks then your eye is drawn over to the beach and sea to the mountains beyond. Ribbon tassels representing flowers and rocks bring a unique element to your fabric artwork and add a lovely whimsical charm.
Many layers of fabric are applied below a blue sky to bring a rich 3D dimension to the work. The raw edge applique technique brings a rich textured uniqueness to this landscape wall art. The tassels at the bottom represent grass and roots and the woollen hanger tied in bows completes the boho look.
The wall hanging measures approximately 18cm wide x 44cm long including the fringe and hanger. Please note, I can create any size wall hanging you desire.
The backing for all my textile artwork is covered in a lovely soft cream velvety fabric.

Jan Adams Art Studio offers a unique combination of house and venue portraits alongside original gifts.
My house and venue paintings have evolved over the years. I started off with simple acrylic house paintings for family and friends. This then moved on to paintings for work colleagues and then to a commission of the doctor's surgery building where I work. I realised then that this was something I really enjoyed doing and set about taking it further so I successfully added wedding venue paintings to my portfolio and developed a website. My house paintings have evolved from their humble acrylic beginnings and I now offer the detailed ink and watercolour paintings which you see today. I also paint wildlife and landscapes and enjoy experimenting with different media. I have recently started making whimsical house paintings using fabric and thread and also textile landscapes. I enjoy pushing the boundaries of this technique and it is certainly something I will develop in the future.
I have sourced a range of beautiful gifts printed with my landscape and wildlife art and these are available to purchase on this site. They range from colourful mugs and coasters to exquisite notebooks, kneeling pads to tote bags. As they are printed with my original artwork they are unique and are great gift ideas for your home.
